This sacrament is intended for the strengthening and healing of those who are ill, elderly, or about to undergo surgery. It is a normal part of Catholic life and not just for the dying, but for anyone who is seriously ill. It may be received when a person is at home or in the hospital as well as in the Church.
Communal anointing of the sick, within the context of a Mass, is celebrated at Saint Felicitas Church, twice, during the year. Look for announcements of these services in the bulletin and here on the website. Please invite your elderly neighbors.
