The Religious Education Program of St. Felicitas Parish will provide each child in grades K-6 with the values of the gospel as proclaimed by Jesus Christ, and will hand down the traditions of the Catholic Faith through a Catechetical curricula that has been both inspired by the spirit of Vatican II and authorized by the bishop of the Diocese of Oakland. This curriculum will complement the journey of faith of each child according to their psychological, emotional and spiritual development.

Walking By Faith series is a religious education program that is rooted in the Catechism of the Catholic Church. The program focuses on the powerful message of the gospel. Each grade level integrates the seven primary themes of catechesis: Creation; God; Jesus Christ; The Church; Christian Morality; The Sacraments; and Salvation History.

Sacramental Preparation: First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.

To share in communion for the first time children must have “sufficient knowledge and careful preparation so as to understand the mystery of the Eucharist according to their capacity” (Code of Canon Law 913.) They must also be able to receive communion “with faith and devotion” (913).

We offer classes: Tuesdays: 3:40pm to 4:40pm.

                         Wednesdays: 6:30pm to 7:30pm.
